Another Iron in the Fire

I have a love of sunrises on sabbat mornings. I love staying up all night and greeting the sun at Yule. The golden autumn sunshine of Samhain reminds me of the thinness of the veil. You know what else I also love? Brunch. Yeah.

I love breakfast foods at any time of the day. I love the idea of brunch because it's something sweet, something savory, and often something alcoholic. Because I love to honor the sabbat early in the day (as well as later, around a fire), I have decided to put together a book of brunch menus. I have one brunch menu for each sabbat.

I'm hoping to finish it soon and either publish it myself through createspace.com, or contact an actual e-book publisher. We shall see. Wish me luck!

Oh, wait, you want a sample, don't you? Where are my manners!

Since Ostara is coming up, here is my bountiful Ostara brunch menu:

Smoked salmon spread
Savory spinach custard
New potatoes with lemon-dill butter
Glazed ham
Iced mint tea
Apricot-cherry crumble

I'll be busy testing recipes for my other book project this weekend, but I might get a chance to work on a few more brunch recipes, too!

Hey there chica! I'm excited for your brunch book!!! I just actually ordered your first two off Amazon... I'm so excited to get them, I may explode... ^-^
I always mean to do something special for the holidays... but never quite make it. I've decided though, that even if I don't do anything else, I'm going to make the meals of that day with foods corresponding to the holiday.
So! I shall let you know how my Ostara dishes turn out! =D
I'm super excited to make them...
Anywho. Hope you have a good weekend! ^-^

Your comment just made my day! I hope you like the recipe collections. Do let me know how everything turns out. The quiche is a favorite of my Sister.

Longer will be awesome! I'm just so thrilled that you published some stuff! I'm super excited for you & I'll let you know how the recipes turn out. ^-^
I'm very excited for the quiche... I LOVE QUICHE. I've never tried to make one before, so it'll be fun! =D

Also... I don't think I told you, but I'm moving in four months to go to culinary school! =D
I'm going to Portland, OR to get my AAS in Baking & Pastry. ^-^

You helped inspire me to go & do something I love. I love food, love to cook, love to see just how much I can improvise before what I'm trying to make explodes... lolz. Thank you. People (like yourself) who keep doing what they love & reaching for awesomeness inspire me to not give up my dreams of doing something I love.
This is part of why I'm so thrilled you published these cookbooks. =D

Anywho... longest comment ever. ^-^
I'm looking forward to everything else you have in store.
